Double RL presents its collaboration with Zefren-M, Ralph Lauren’s second artist in residence, who worked with us to create the Double RL x Zefren-M capsule.

Zefren-M is a Diné (Navajo) multidisciplinary artist, historian, and LGBTQIA+ advocate whose work blends ancient techniques with forward-thinking technology to tell the story of the Navajo people.

Double RL was drawn to Zefren-M’s ability to share the legacy of weaving from a historian’s lens, as well as their knowledge, artistry, and creativity in weaving, tailoring, and patternmaking.

Drawing inspiration from age-old cultural motifs and the colours of the Navajo Nation landscape, the capsule celebrates Navajo tradition, craft, and culture with designs that merge the old and new.

A percentage of the purchase price from sales of the Double RL x Zefren-M capsule will benefit The Lyndon Foundation, a Native-led organisation selected by Zefren-M that works to preserve heritage and craft and provide opportunities for Indigenous youth to thrive as they pursue a career in the arts.
