Silk-Linen Shawl-Collar Cardigan

The shawl-collar cardigan is re-imagined this season with a jacquard motif created in collaboration with Ralph Lauren’s Artist in Residence, Naiomi Glasses – a seventh-generation Diné (Navajo) textile artist and designer. Hand-knit with a silk-and-linen blend, this jumper’s dynamic pattern includes the four-directional cross and wedge-weave motifs – cherished Navajo symbols, which carry deep significance for Naiomi and are often featured in her own weavings. Referencing the Earth's four directions, Naiomi uses the four-directional cross to honour the significance of the number four in Navajo tradition. A belted waist and two front pockets complete the look.
